Circular Processing is proud to announce that it has launched in Australia, providing e-waste recycling and processing services to businesses and organisations around the country.

Behind the endeavor is Ali Bagheban. Bagheban is the owner and operator of Machinery Specialist, granting him over ten years experience in the field of material handling and recycling.

Bagheban says, “I’m excited to bring my knowledge of the materials recycling industry and technology to provide innovative solutions for corporations, councils and other businesses around Australia. As one of the world’s highest producers of e-waste per person, we have a lot of potential for establishing a circular economy, diverting valuable materials away from landfill for reuse.”

E-waste, or electronic waste, is defined by the UN as “anything with a plug, electric cord or battery… that has reached the end of its life.”

E-waste typically contains a range of valuable materials. Precious metals such as gold, copper, nickel, cobalt and rare earth metals can be extracted from e-waste for reuse through recycling processes. These resources are finite and environmentally harmful to mind.

E-waste can also contain polluting chemicals that can represent as much as 70% of the hazardous waste that ends up in landfill, despite representing only 2% of waste.

Australia ranks fifth in the world with 21.7kg of waste per person per year, as reported in 2019, and e-waste output is going three times faster than general waste output.

Circular Processing aims to work with businesses and organisations in Australia to divert e-waste from landfill by collecting, sorting and processing e-waste for reuse in future products.
